  5. First attempt at a kettlebell L-sit & I think I lasted longer than my coach did. I didn’t even think I could do it. My body’s stronger than my mind, apparently. Bet I would’ve lasted longer if I reminded myself of the quote Coach Burgener said to me when I was oly lifting - “What the mind perceives, the body achieves.” & yes, my socks say “BACON” on them. I love bacon.

  6. I’m drained - mentally, physically and emotionally. I’m running on a measly three hours of sleep and my brain is mush from all the cramming I’ve done. One more day and then beastmode will commence at the box.

  8. amongthewolves asked: idk how to reply to what you asked on my own post, or if thats even possible. but I'm 5'9 and a half... apparently I can jump pretty high. if you want my progress blog URL and password ill give it to you, there is a video of me doing a 50 inch box jump. i did 52 inches about 3 weeks ago!

    That’s insane…& here I was all happy about my 32” box jump, lol.

    Nope, I definitely don’t think that’s why. I have pretty small hands & I can do them. I always had problems with kipping pull ups, trust me. I can only string together 5 or so. It’s a mental game, you just gotta psych yourself out. Practice with a box underneath you to get high up on the bar….if you can do a strict pull up, try & hold yourself at the top of the bar & push off that way. Make sure not to push down, push straight back, full force. That’s how I got my FIRST kipping pull up & it was at my Level 1 cert in Arizona. 

    p.s. I might be coming to San Diego the first weekend of June. I’ll text JP if I am & we’ll meet up. :)
